Watch Six Minutes Of Uninterrupted Assassin's Creed III Gameplay

Now that a handful of games have been delayed into 2013, Assassin's Creed III has pretty much become my most anticipated big budget title of this year, and this awesome demo, which showcases a number of new mechanics — as well as a completely revamped combat system — has reinforced that.

The demo takes you on a tour through Boston, one of the major cities in Assassin's Creed III. I'm loving the new touches — the increasingly dynamic combat chains, the momentum based scrambles up angled surfaces, the increasingly interactive world.

Assassin's Creed II was an incredible leap from the first, and remains one of my favourite games of this generation. I'm hoping Assassin's Creed III provides a similar step up. Looks promising so far.

On mobile, so have to watch later, but is it all Redcoats again? Any Bluecoats get shivved?

      All Redcoats. :/

        :(

I wonder if the Team America theme plays in-game, or just in my head.

I don't see the problem with culling a few poms? A lot of other games do the same thing to other nationalities and no-one seems to worry.

              because American's rarely get culled.

People seem to keep forgetting that at this time in history, EVERYONE was British... That's kinda the point.

:) I like how they are being portrayed in this fame as the British army where the evil ones In this war and they slaughtered helpless people whereas America just wanted there independence

Looking forward to this. But then again I only played Brotherhood so I think I’ve paced this out well.

I know it's only a little thing, but even with their claims of a "revamped combat system" it still seems to just be people lining up, one at a time to die.

I think the chain kill system should hopefully make the queue system alot less prominent.

In the video Connor is attacked by one man while attacking another.
Of course there is going to be a certain amount of 'lining up'

Some cool moves in there but the 'one at a time' combat still seems to exist. Climbing trees looks particularly fun. I really hope the 'team america' vibe doesn't exist in the finished game though, I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed if so.

This looks exactly the same as the past 3 iterations... Can't they spice it up some how rather than just refining and polishing mechanics i've already played to death? Make the game at least slightly challenging? :-\

I was so sure I wasn't going to pay for another re-hash of Assassins Creed. But after watching this I'm seriously thinking about buying it.

Assassin's Creed 2 was a broken unfinished mess. I haven't played any iterations since. Assassin's Creed 3 looks like it may i fact be a polished ready for market product, Ubisoft blew it's chance though, they aren't getting the benefit of the doubt with Assassin's Creed 3.

Speak for yourself, I never had problems with AC2 and in fact I thought it was fantastic.

AC 2 was sublime - The cities were breathtakingly beautiful and Immersive. Definitely one of my favourite titles of the pass 5 or so years.

The enemy AI is so dumb! Duh

They really could have taken some points from Batman Arkham City for making the combat fast and frantic without making it feel like enemies were simply lining up to get their beat-down.

It's about time they started including some proper stealth mechanics like being able to flatten yourself against the wall and peer around/assassinate from corners. Now we just need a poisoned rice ball you can throw to attract guards and we're set.

I see that the guards still haven't figured out how to spot the one man in a hood and assassin's clothing just because he leans up against something or sits on a bench. At least in the first one it was because there were others that looked like you.
