  • For what it’s worth, the same issue also happens with PSP games. Sony has to manually mark stuff on the store as vita-compatible and so new PSP stuff comes out on PSN, but doesn’t appear on the Vita version store for up to a month while Sony dicks around doing whatever it is they’re doing. Can transfer over from the PS3 and it works fine.

    • Sadly this is correct… officially Sony haven’t lied, the US store stated the ‘official’ 9 will be able to be downloaded to the Vita directly via the PSN Store. They have specifically not mentioned these aren’t the only 9 compatible.

EU on the other hand have gone all out and suggest that their list will be available from the Store, whether or not that remains to be seen is another thing.

Honestly, this would have been so much less painful if both territories got together and followed the same plan and informing the userbase which games will be compatible from the PS3 transfer method and state that not all games will be available from the store front directly for the moment.

Chances are 95% of people with a Vita will have a PS3 anyway, so it’s not going to be a huge impact.

  • Why is this being re-posted in Australia? SCEE already released the list above.

It’s only in the US that they’re staggering the releases on the store.

    • SotN isn’t released in EU on PSN.

I wonder if there’s issues transferring the game from your AU account bought from the US store onto an AU Vita?

      • US PSone game purchased, can be played on any region Vita, but your memory card needs to have your US Account attached to it.

Basically, you officially now need to have a memory card for each region you have purchased content off and play the memory card swapping game.

        • But thats no different to how the PS3 already works. Its still a step above the rest; Nintendo region lock altogether. All this is doing is attaching a game to a certain account… i guess it stops people from copying games for friends .

          • But you PS3 only needs you to log in and out. This stupid system makes you do a factory reset, so ridiculous…

  • I have an Xperia Play which can run Playstation 1 ports. It had 8 games in it’s PS1 store when I bought it a year ago. Since then that number has grown to 9. And the only one worth buying is Medieval (maybe Syphon Filter 1 & 3). Annoyingly, other titles which have been released o/s have not made it here.

Luckily normal Android apps have supported the device much better, because the Sony idea of supporting the device is half arsed, or maybe even completely arseless. I’m sure the decision to abandon Ice Cream Sandwich for Play pretty much means they regard the device as abandoned.

    • I just use PSXPeria and put whatever PS1 games I want on my Play.

Unless they’re incompatible, and I have to use FPse. Still, beats waiting for Sony to do anything about it.

  • am i missing something, can these be bought directly on the Vita in the PS Store? I can’t seem to see any of them in there!

    • The EU update will likely to go live overnight (they mention from the 29th, so that will be UK time), but as I mentioned above I am not sure if EU are actually putting all their listed titles on the PSVita Store front.

What can be said, is you can download the titles on the list you have already purchased or even purchase right now via the PS3, and then you can transfer the download from the PS3 to the Vita via the Content Manager.

Already rocking Crash 1-3 and MGS and will transfer a few more tonight.

  • Typically sony, promises one thing, delivers another. You know it suprises me that a company like sony still exists…they treat their customers like they dont mean anything, not to mention lie about pretty much everything…if i had a friend like sony i would have cut him loose a long time ago…

The only people keeping the company afloat is their customers and that wont last very long.

All they need is another botched release of a big game like cod and i think that will be the last nail in the coffin of my dear sony…too bad too bad..not for you sony, but for all the glorious developers who gave us some of the best games and created history….

  • I have tried this out with FFXI. I have notice my first issue… I can’t change the “disc”. Also why is there no games up yet even though the update is out?
