ScribbleTaku

Oh man, this guy really thought he had it! He really believed. Sorry Mick! The game was actually Boom Blox, for the Wii. I was a big fan of that game.

Good luck with today everyone!

ScribbleTaku is Kotaku’s newest lunchtime game. We give ourselves 30 seconds to draw an old game on a sticky note, and it’s your job to guess what it is! Come back every day at noon for a new ScribbleTaku! Feel like sending one in? Shoot me an email here.

    Thrust.
    Loved that game.

      5 minutes...nice.

If a game was on the C64 there's a better than average chance I played it.

There's a free remake of this game, I think it was called Thrust Extreme, probably still available for anyone interested in an "Asteroids with gravity" game.

If Mark wants to stop having his stuff guessed by you he's going to need to branch out. In many ways the really old games are more "distinctive" when drawn anyway because they had to use simple, identifiable elements which are relatively easy to scribble down.

      CROTCHDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT

[Throws arms into the sky in despair]

More Nintendo is the key, I've never owned one of those.

Mick was talking about Skribbletaku the day before. And he did have it.
This one I don't know, maybe Scorched Earth, but that's a long shot. No pun intended.

True that Lone Wolf, and, in fact, Mick half got yesterdays one with his celebratory exclamation!

Staring at that image is making my leg hurt.

Standing is making it hurt too.

    Weird...

I was hoping it would be scorched earth!

If it wasn't for the triangle I'd havbe guessed Sopwith. One of the first x86 games I got addicted to in CGA. Ahhh those were the days.

I thought Mick was actually commenting on the fact he had won the day before, see the lighter reference and "back in the day" wouldn't exactly refer to a recentish Wii title either:

"Boom! Yeah I got one. The lighter was the dead give away. Great game back in the day"

It was just a major coincidence that he used the exclamation "Boom!" to express his glee haha...
