This Halo Concept Art Is So Old It’s Drawn On Paper

Lovers of Halo (or of art in the most traditional sense) should dig these images from artist Eddie Smith, who over the years has worked on several games in the epic sci-fi saga.

The more recent the games are, the more modern the art, but my favourites are Smith’s pieces for the first two Halos, which unlike just about anything else we ever show you in this feature, were drawn using marker pens. On paper.

Not that this is going to be all about Halo. Smith has also worked on games like The Agency, Mark of Kri and FEAR 3, so you’ll find some images from those games below as well.

You can find more of Eddie’s art at his personal site.

To see the larger pics in all their glory (or so you can save them as wallpaper), right-click on them below and select “open in new tab”.

Fine Art is a celebration of the work of video game artists, showcasing the best of both their professional and personal portfolios. If you’re in the business and have some concept, environment or character art you’d like to share, drop us a line!
