A Bunch Of Neat Games Were Announced For Vita Today

You don't see the words "Vita" and "video games" next to one another very much these days without the words "doesn't have any" between them. But a few new titles for Sony's powerful handheld were quietly announced today.

We already knew that the Vita game Dokuro was coming to the U.S., but newly formed publisher branch GungHo Online America has also announced that it will localise the action game Picotto Knights for release next year.

There's also Earth defence Force 2017 Portable, a neat-looking cooperative shooter.

PS3 strategy-RPG Rainbow Moon is also getting a Vita port, its publisher said today (through IGN).

Not bad, Vita. Not bad at all.

And Little Kings Story is out next week on the US PSN!

It's(Little King Story) is available right now on AU PSN

It'll be $35 next week on the US PSN!

A decent little batch, but man we really need more :( I bought mine couple of weeks ago and I had a sudden realisation "Wheres all the games? hasn't this system been out for a few months now?" PS classics holding me over anyway :)

      There are plenty of games.

Yeah! There's like... what, now? 12?

I've no doubt missed some, but:
F1 2011, Super Stardust Delta, Sound Shapes, Ridge Racer, Little Deviants, Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Lumines Electronic Symphony, Mortal Kombat, ModNation Racers: Road Trip, Resistance: Burning Skies, Everybody's Golf 6, Ben 10: Galactic Racing, MotorStorm: RC, Gravity Rush, Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus, Top Darts, Zen Pinball 2, Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack, Madden NFL 13, Treasures of Montezuma: Blitz, FIFA Football, Army Corps of Hell, Touch My Katamari, Dungeon Hunter: Alliance, Hustle Kings, StarDrone Extreme, Dynasty Warriors Next, Wipeout 2048, Escape Plan, Lego Harry Potter: Years 5–7, Puddle, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, LittleBigPlanet, Reality Fighters, The Pinball Arcade, Unit 13, Rayman Origins, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.

          That's 40. So probably 40-50.
Then there are the PSone Classics, Minis, and PSP games available in the PlayStation Store.

Please excuse my apparent lack of humour, but this nonsense has become tiresome.

I think he meant games worth buying. I counted three. You might get six if your really generous. Very few AAA releases, which I think is the whole point of a dedicqted handheld now.

There's at least 18 there I have or would pick up without a second thought. Plus all the digital PSP games I've bought.

There's a LOT of good content, people just want to complain about a lack of price cut.

No, I'm with Thom. I counted 3 games, one of which I'd buy the console version instead so really - 2.

If you want something with 50 new games each week, get a phone where you can pay a buck for reskinned flash games.

Personally, I'm happy to wait a bit if I end up with games like Uncharted, LittleBigPlanet & Assassin's Creed (and eventually Bioshock). It's not like the Vita is anyone's sole platform - most will have a console or PC as well.
