Final Fantasy VII Is Now Available In Australia

You may remember that, last month, Australians were unable to buy Final Fantasy VII alongside the rest of the world. At the time Square-Enix refused to shed any further light on the specific reasons why Australians were being left behind, and simply stated that the Square-Enix store would be “available in Australia and New Zealand soon”. Now, over a month later, Australians are able to buy Final Fantasy VII in the online Square-Enix store.

The game is now available at a ‘discounted’ price of $11.99 AU.

We have yet to be given any explanation for the delay, but we thought you might like an update on the situation. Most likely the delay was something to do with the back-end workings of the site. The store is now open, and is selling in Australian currency, we suspect getting that set up was part of the delay.
