Mega Man co-creator Keiji Inafune is taking a stab at the Ninja Gaiden series with Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, and by “taking a stab” I mean actively attempting to stab the star of the main Ninja Gaiden series in the throat with a sword.
Teased earlier this month and revealed last night during the Tecmo Koei pre-Tokyo Game Show event, Ninja Gaiden Z looks to be a fast-paced, cel-shaded take on the carnage of the core franchise. At least that’s what I’m getting from the brief glimpse of gameplay afforded us in this first trailer. It’s enough to intrigue me. I must see more.
