Japanese FemShep Statue Is Surprisingly Unsexy

Kotobukiya, one of the world's top collectible companies, has a line of pieces it calls "Bishoujo". What that normally means for fans are statues of female characters rendered in anime style and with, um, disproportionate proportions.

There's a market for that kind of thing, I'm sure, but for many it's a little much. Which is why it's nice to see their second Mass Effect statue, modelled after the new default FemShep, plays it straight.

Your mileage on it will vary depending on your reaction to the stylised face, but surprising even myself, I really like it!

It'll be out in March 2013. The BioWare store will also have an exclusive variant that'll have a different hair colour, weapon and pose, with pics and images due there on Wednesday.

Those who prefer their Shepards a little more masculine, and realistic in nature, can check out this alternative from Sideshow.

Boobs aren't nearly as big as I expected when I saw "japanese" in the title

Less crotch-thrusting than I'd have have thought.

I actually really like this. The proportions aren't realistic, but its cute instead of that embarrassing TITS AND ASS thing that figures usually have.

If you block out the head, the figure looks pretty good.

It's still better looking than the face that "fans" chose for the the default fem-Shep.

If you call that unsexy you got some pretty unrealistic standards imo.

    How is this not sexy...?

He means it's not the over the top huge tits and barely any clothes style of figure.
Honestly I'd like a helmet on version for people who had their own femshep. that one thin bit of hair on top just looks like it's begging to be broken too.

I think Luke has confused 'sexy' with 'perverse'.

This is plenty sexy. Folks out there who also liked Meryl and the Frogs from MGS4 know why.

      +1
