Star Wars, Dead Space, Transformers, This Is Some Of The Best Concept Art On The Planet

Ryan Church is about as close to the top of the concept art world as you can get. He's worked on Star Wars movies. He's working on the new Star Trek movies. He's worked on Avatar, Transformers and John Carter.

In addition to all that movie stuff, though, he's also found time to lend a hand in the creation of a number of high-profile video games, like Dead Space, Red Alert 3, Battle for Middle Earth II and the cancelled Steven Spielburg project, LMNO.

Needless to say, with a resume like that, Ryan's work is outstanding. When you're done here, head to his personal site to see a whole lot more.

So he's the guy responsible for that stupid rendition of Devastator. I can safely say I don't like his work.

      You sad bastard.

His matte paintings are superb. Definitely one of the best concept artists in the world.

This guy is such an awesome visual storyteller, (if only some of the movies he worked on had storylines worthy of his work). Inspires me to get back into painting every time I see his stuff. I really wished there was somewhere in Australia that I could go to study this kind of digital art, (Matte painting, concept art, character design, etc), but are not very many options, sadly.
