This Color-Swapping Runner Is Not A Tron Game, But It Should Be

Considering the overall lack of quality Tron games since the time of the first film, I’m willing to give Hope This Works Games‘ upcoming neon red and blue Android and iOS free-runner Polara a couple of identity discs and call it a day.

It’s a little bit color-shifting shooter Ikaruga, with a hint of color-shifting action platformer Outland. You’ve got red, you’ve got blue, which you survive depends on the colour of your machine-like glow. Only a machine intelligence could come up with such a convoluted security system and still leave enough room for an iPhone or Android gamer to slip through.

Polara comes to the app stores on October 11. End of line.
