Fill Out A Survey, Get The Valve Golden Ticket

What is Valve like behind closed doors? Is it a magical wonderland where the snozzberries taste like snozzberries, and Gabe Newell strolls around the offices dressed like Willy Wonka singing Pure Imagination? Well, if you fill out this survey there is a (extremely tiny) chance you could get the Golden Ticket and get to visit Valve HQ.

“We're looking for folks to come to Valve and playtest both released and unreleased versions of our games as well as play around with some of our hardware prototypes," said Valve, on its forums.

The only problem is you have to live in the Seattle area. Yeah. Gutted. But at the same time, Valve stated it "may have plans for remote playtests in the future" so they aren't restricting folks from other regions or countries from filling out the forms.

Unreleased games? We're not too sure what those are, precisely. But the hardware prototypes? Could that be the virtual reality headsets we've heard so many rumours about?

doesnt seem like aussies can partcipate... i get an invalid zip-code error.

I don't think you can do this outside of the US. Or at the very least, it won't let me.

And i just read past the first paragraph. Woops.

They say they're not preventing other people from filling out the forms, but it wouldn't let me fill it out with out a US zip code...

I don't think anyone outside of US can do this since it won't let you complete the survey without putting in a valid US zipcode

I found the same thing. :( Be nice if they could mention that on the page!

but you can't fill in the zipcode with an australian post code.

Interesting to see who reads the articles posted

+1 haha I don't think anyone else read the article.

VR headsets are a possibility, considering some of the questions are about motion sickness.

"How often do you experience motion sickness (nausea/dizziness) when playing first-person shooter games?

What games produce motion sickness when you play them?

How long do you typically play these games before you notice motion sickness symptoms?"

Way to get everyones hopes up mark, why is this even reposted on kotaku AU, if its no use to anyone but a single city in murrrica?
