Following a whole bunch of rumours and reports, Rockstar has officially confirmed that Grand Theft Auto V will hit store shelves this spring (Australian autumn).
“Grand Theft Auto V builds on everything we’ve learned about open world game design,” Rockstar’s Sam Houser said in a press release this afternoon. “We can’t wait to share it with fans.”

No surprises there. Rockstar’s AAA releases are always out around that time of year, so I’m not particularly disappointed that there’s another six months to wait.

Will def get the ps3 release, I was so disappointed with the pc release of IV. It still runs rubbish on my pc after all this time.

What is it with Americans and their “Spring” or “Autumn” releases? Can’t they say Q1 or Q3 etc? FFS its a global market these days and your advertising is so self-centred.
Don’t get me started on their backwards dates either. In this day and age everyone should be using a global standard.
True but we’re like the only major market in the Southern Hemisphere, perhaps when places like Brazil and Indonesia are buying games in large quantities, but until then you’ll have to do the conversion

Just because you don’t like something doesn’t make it a failure. I consider GTA IV to be one of, if the most accomplished open world games ever made, and trust me I’ve pretty much played them all.
