One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda is joining forces with S.T. Dupont for a bevy of swank pens and lighters. They cost a lot of money.
Oda did the design work, which is a Sleeping Mermaid motif.
According to sister site Kotaku Japan, the goods will go on sale this December and can be divided into three categories:
• Prestige Collection (limited to 55 pieces worldwide)
18K gold with blue sapphire lighter (with shell stand): ¥1,470,000 (US$19,000)
18K gold with blue sapphire fountain pen (with shell stand): ¥1,470,000 ($19,000)
• Premium Collection (limited to 1,111 pieces worldwide)
18K gold lighter: ¥231,000 ($3,000)
18K gold fountain pen: ￥231,000 ($3,000)
18K gold roller ball pen: ￥210,000 ($2,700)
• Prime Collection
Mini jet lighter: ￥15,750 ($200)
Ball point pen: ￥36,750 ($470)
Prestige, Premium and Prime Collections? More like Crazy Expensive, Super Expensive and Expensive Collections.
