So, I’m not entirely sure what to make of this piece of Grand Theft Auto machinima. It calls itself a “gritty reboot” of Super Mario Bros, but other than a small appearance by everyone’s favourite super-sizing mushroom, there’s really nothing very Mario about it. Godzilla? Yes. Cloverfield? A bit. Watch for yourself and pass judgement.
It certainly has nothing to do with another “Grand Theft Mario” mash-up you may be familiar with. What it does have is a lot of helicopters meeting untimely demises, so much so one has to wonder how stupid you have to be to get a pilot’s licence in the world of GTA.
