Community Kudos

Oh man. These weeks are going too fast. I am bricking it. The faster these weekends come, the closer my wife is to giving birth. This fact is terrifying. Welcome to the end of the working week and another Community Kudos. [Shudder]

Kudos is strange. One week I will literally get more emails that I can handle, and I have to barrel through them as quickly as possible lest the post blasts towards the 2000 word mark. Other weeks I only get a handful. This week it’s the latter.

I’m going to get kicking with the Shiggster. Who usually either talks about beards or facial hair. That’s his two topics. But I like both of those things, so that’s fine by me.

MY NOMS GO TO NOTORIOUSR FOR HIS GODDAMN AMAZING BEARD. THAT IS THE ONLY WHO HAS DEEMED THEMSELVES WORTHY OF MY SHIGGY PATENTED NOMS THIS WEEK

That nom was actually from last week, but it got trapped in the Serrels junk filter of doom. Sorry about that!

How about that Braaains guy? I have to admit if I see his name on a list of comments I tend to stop and read. He always brings something rational to the conversation.

This week I want to nominate Braaains. The guy makes great comments and even when I disagree with him I still agree with him. PS. Good luck with the surgery man!

Great nom. It’s great to have someone like Braaains around.

So it’s Steam sales time, so I sort of knew you generous bastards would start gifting each other stuff, despite the fact it’s almost Christmas! Ser Nobulus is the main culprit!

Just throwin’ a nom out there for that fellow Ser Nobulus, he is quite the bloke for gifting me The Walking Dead, fantastic game I must say.

Seems like Crazyguy1990 was also getting in on the action.

Powalen
A big thank you nom to Crazyguy1990 and Ser Nobulus for gifting me some games out-of-the-blue during this current Steam Sale! Hopefully nomming these generous suckers will stop me feeling guilty about accepting free stuff for no reason!

You gaiz!

Today’s nomtermission is the thing I was listening to whilst writing Community Kudos.

Alrighty then… moving along!

Apparently Strange has Kudos notes. She’s like Kotaku’s Santa Claus — she has a list, she’s checking it twice, she gonna find out who’s naughty or nice.

Strange
My nominations for Kudos this week are as follows: Tobiasfunke because I want to help them achieve their new life-goal of winning Kudos. And Wynstyn. For reasons I can’t remember, but I wrote their name down in my Kudos notes so they must have done something great.

Strange wasn’t the only person to nom Tobiasfunke.

I’d like to nominate @tobiasfunke for reasons that don’t require an explanation. Also? Kotaku relative new comer @spaghett for being an awesome, open and friendly guy. Glad you’re posting more regularly, buddy!

Tobiasfunke — you deserve a nom for having a top notch username.

Today’s final nom comes from Scree.

I have a request. I’m sorry to ask this but F4ction has been coming down to my house on his days off and helping out with things that haven’t been fixed in ages.

It really means a lot to Mum and me, especially since we would ask some family members to help us out and the plea would end up being ignored.

F4ction has refused to take money for his good deeds. He doesn’t even seem to mind that Sid (my dog), wants to be fussed over all the time.

I propose that he gets nominated automatically, until he accepts the nomination. I hope this is okay with you.

If not, I understand.

My next nom is like Oprah noms. I want to thank the community so much for helping me with a t-shirt design. I had half the mind to dispose of it, but those on TAY stopped me from doing so.

F4ction — you’re an awesome dude! Keep up the dude work!

Have a great weekend everyone! This week’s winner is Ser Nobulus! Congrats. The dream of TobiasFunke will have to wait for another time!

Disclaimer — I’m am really bad at sending stuff out, I have a list, I haven’t forgotten, I’m totally getting round to it. Sorry everyone!
