Double Fine’s Superheroic Smartphone Game Has Its Own Origin Story

It’s been a little while since we last saw or heard anything about Middle Manager of Justice, Double Fine’s foray into free-to-play smartphone gaming. I gave the game a go back when Double Fine first announced it, and it looks like a fun, suitably goofy take on the whole smartphone time-management sim deal.

After accidentally releasing the game for a hot minute and then treating that early release as a beta test, the folks making the game have been tweaking and fine-tuning it before wide release.

Today, project lead Kee Chi posted this typically funny blog post documenting the game’s origin, along with the above internal pitch video for the game’s concept. The best part is definitely that the pitch video was made using Xtranormal. Ha.
