FarmVille 2 Shady Trough Quests: Everything You Need To Know

If you’re running out of animal population room on your farm in FarmVille 2, but aren’t satisfied with simply building more Water Troughs, why not take a look at the new Shady Trough that has been released this weekend? The Shady Trough will increase your animal population limit by 10 animals, but it must be built first. There’s also a set of goals to complete along with this release, and we’re here with a guide to help you out.

Shady Business
• Place the Shady Trough Foundation
• Feed 5 Adult Goats
• Feed 3 Chickens

If it looks like you’re out of land space for this Shady Trough, try hovering it over your animals for a few seconds. They’ll quickly move out of the way, which should allow you to have enough room to place the foundation. You don’t need to start building the Trough just yet, so worry about feeding those animals first. You’ll receive 400 coins and 6 XP for finishing this first of four quests.

Hot and Bothered
• Harvest 5 Trees
• Harvest 20 Habanero Peppers
• Feed 10 Adult Animals

While the first quest didn’t ask you to finish the construction of the Shady Trough, it’s definitely something to work on in the background here. It requires eight Wood Planks, eight Shingles and eight Straw Bedding, which can all be earned by asking your friends to send them to you through individual requests. As for feeding the animals, the smartest ones to choose here are chickens, simply because they take so little time to become hungry again. As for the Habanero Peppers, these are a new crop that are available as part of the Southwestern Spice item collection. They take four hours to grow.

You’ll have only four days to complete this entire quest set, so we’ll update this space with more on how to complete the final two quests in this series.
