Peter Molyneux’s Next Game Is A Lot Like One Of His First

As Fable creator Peter Molyneux’s new team 22cans continues throwing game ideas against the wall and seeing what sticks, the company’s next game looks a lot more familiar than weird iOS novelty Curiosity.

Called Project GODUS, it’s “an innovative reinvention of Populous”, which explains why you looked at that image up top, saw Molyneux’s name and thought, oh, he’s remaking Populous, the innovative god game he co-designed back in 1989.

The full pitch reads more like a Bullfrog fanboys wish list than a genuine sales pitch:

GODUS blends the power, growth and scope of Populous with the detailed construction and multiplayer excitement of Dungeon Keeper and the intuitive interface and technical innovation of Black & White.

Big promises, those, but then, given the source we wouldn’t have it any other way.
