The Best Grand Theft Auto Comes To iOS And Android On December 6

With the mobile version of Grand Theft Auto III still tearing up the Android and iOS charts, Rockstar readies a second helping of mobile free-roaming mayhem with the December 6 release of the Grand Theft Auto: Vice City 10th Anniversary Edition.

More than any other instalment in the series, this is my Grand Theft Auto. I fell in love with Vice City the first time I heard Toto's "Africa" on in-game radio station Emotion 98.3. It spoke to me intimately, in a way latter entries in the series haven't.

The mobile version of the game is enhanced with updated character models, enhanced lighting effects, more precise shooting options and full support for retina devices.

The Grand Theft Auto: Vice City 10th Anniversary Edition hits Google Play and iTunes on December 6 for the ridiculously low price of $5. To avoid disappointment, make sure you have one of the devices listed below before then.

Supported Devices

Apple iOS Devices: iPad, iPhone 4, 4S & 5, iPod touch 4th & 5th Generation

Too hard to play with touch controls... With my big fingers anyway!

Sweet its coming to xperia play, would prefer vita but xperia play will do me for now

I would love to see these games on Vita, especially San Andreas... Also, I am pleased that this will be compatible with the iPhone 5, I am getting sick of the black bars on either side of my older games. Go R*!

Curious if any idea of install size at this stage?

Also, while I personally have an iPad 3rd gen, will this run on ALL iPads, including iPad 1?

*The game I am waiting for, on iPad, right now is Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, slated for release on November 30th. The full game, with expansions and 400+ enhancements including completely reworked interface for iPad.

But this is Vice City, not San Andreas.

San Andreas was my favourite, as well.

      Motion controls concern me.

      Agreed San andreas>VC
Vice City was an amazing game for its time but lets face it, it was the atmosphere (music, scarface, the 80s and so on) that made it great - gameplay wasn't as strong. San andreas upped the magnitude of everything - vehicles, gameplay, map size, general things to do by a factor of approximately 10.2.

Can't wait!!! Although San Andreas is my favourite GTA (I'm sure I'm not the only one), if that comes to iOS I'll be over the moon!

Two more years till GTA SA on mobile devices. and in 6 years time, GTA IV. My god that would be cool

"The Best Grand Theft Auto"...of 2002

I wonder if people who praise Vice City have even played it in the past 10 years.

There's a lot of love for Vice City but i just don't feel it. Sure, it was a great game when I had the pleasure to play it through (back in the day) but it isn't the best in the series for me. Not by a long shot...
