The Desert Bus For Hope Crew Have Been Driving For

Desert Bus For Hope is an insane pilgrimage and it’s the brainchild of internet sketch group LoadingReadyRun. Since 2007 the crew has played the notorious game Desert Bus annually for an unbearably long time, raising incredible amounts of money in the process. To date the team has raised more than $825,000 for charity, and this year Desert Bus For Hope looks to push that to over $1 million. So far they’ve played the game for over 2 days and 20 hours. They are only half way though the planned time.

Desert Bus, the game, was initially part of Penn & Teller’s Smoke and Mirrors, a never released game for the SEGA CD that’s just incredibly, incredibly monotonous. If you’ve ever wanted to drive at 45 miles per hour for eight hours straight, this is the game for you.

You’d think that a livestream of folks playing this game would be the most tedious thing on the internet, but it’s actually entertaining. And it’s for a great cause. If you guys feel like tuning in, head in this direction.
