What Are You Playing This Weekend?

This weekend I’m totally going away on a relaxing trip to the Kangaroo Valley. No games, very little technology. I think I’m going to go crazy. Please, let me live vicariously through you all — what are you playing this weekend?

I’m planning to get stuck into Far Cry 3 if I get back from the trip on Sunday. I haven’t played any of the single player campaign yet, but I’ve heard mostly good things about it. I may even kidnap the office Wii U and play some New Super Mario Bros. U.

How about you guys and girls? Anyone pick up a Wii U? What are you playing this weekend?

Halo 4 MP. Really enjoying it so far. The first Halo game were I’ve really gotten into the MP.
Probably some SWTOR too.
Maybe a little bit of Planetside 2 as well.
And a little bit of Age of Empires with my siblings to top things of.

Wii U – NSMBU & Nintendo Land and whatever else I can find or settings to fool around on if I get bored of that I’ll play some Far Cry 3.

Probably play some more dragon age: origins and finish of the Shizune path on Katawa Shoujo. Maybe even try to squeeze in some borderlands 2 if I get time.

Persona 4 golden massive binge inc. I was tempted to get a wii u just because i like shiny new stuff, I decided to hold off until a real game in a genre I like is released (i.e. not just a worse port). Will probably cave when monster hunter hits if there is some kind of super bundle in the works.

Far Cry 3 on PC. Halo 4, BLOPS2, Forza Horizon.. Sleeping Dogs still.. Persona 4 on Vita when it gets here. Loving my gaming this holiday season.

Now that my Wii U is downloading what I assume is its last required update – this weekend I’ll be playing some ZombiU, NSMBU, NintendoLand and Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed.

Finished AC3 last night (the complaints about the ending is worse then the complaints about ME3) so I’ll be finishing all single player stuff (need to scan the Homestead and talk to Washington). After that I might boot up Far Cry 3.

Maybe then I’ll move onto multiplayer for AC3, or maybe even Black Ops 2.
Still looking for co-op partners as well.

Wii U here – mostly Nintendo Land + NSMBU since we’ll have friends around during most of the week end to inaugurate the new console.
All these Steam sales recent acquisitions (Payday, Max Payne 3, Orcs Must Die 2…), and GW2, will have to wait next week!

Haven’t had a decent amount of game time (more than 20 mins) in the last month or 2 so kinda looking forward to Far Cry 3. My girl bought it for me yesterday and I just started it last night (went to sleep at 2, got up at 6.30) and already digging it so pretty keen on giving it a good crack.

ps. Komodo dragons are vicious and piss me off.

I have no doubt my friends and I will have a session or two of BL2. I’ll also be putting some time into Hyperdimension Neptunia mkII and Persona 3, and possibly some XCOM. I’m also hoping to at least take a look at some of the games I bought during the Steam sale.

Looks like I”ll be continuing my 2nd Borderlands 2 playthrough as my copy of Lego LOTR hasn’t arrived from ozgameshop yet ;(

I should probably finish Assassins Creed 3, but have kinda lost interest for some reason. I think it’s a great game, but not quite doing it for me… probably not enough actual assassinating I guess, but I’m hoping that improves.. I’m probably only 30-40% through.

Then again, maybe I’ll rent out Hitman Absolution for some murderey goodness…

Maybe Lego Batman 2?

Also considering giving DC Universe Online another whirl.
I loved it at release but chewed through all the soloable content before my free 30 days was even up. It’s been NEARLY two years since then though, so surely there’s s’more content. Know they’ve got a couple of purchasable expansions at t he very least.

    I did pickup my pre-order of Farcry 3 yesterday (xbox). But won’t be putting that in till Monday. And merry Christmas to you too McG. Although I’m sure I’ll see you before then to say it again =D

    Might I also add that in the last 2 weeks I have just commissioned the build of a new gaming only PC. $3k later and I’m in gaming heaven. Although I’ve only used it 2 or 3 times since getting it together I prefer to be outside given the chance.

It was going to be Far Cry 3.. but the place I pre-ordered from has my order on “Back Order!”. Have attempted to make contact with them and have the order cancelled, so far.. no response.

Well I will probablyp lay some more of The Witcher and possibly move onto Witcher 2. I also want to try and play at least 1 game from the THQ bundle I bought. I set Red Faction: Armageddon to install before leaving the house this morning, so probably that. I liked the demo but never wanted to pay full price for it.

Kinda hoping Red Faction: Guerilla gets added as a bonus title later. #entitledgamersyndrome

I MIGHT find room in my budget to crack and go get Far Cry 3 since it seems to be quite the hit, but I hadn’t prepared for it so prospects are iffy. Plus, I am trying to save the money I am saving by no longer smoking. Frivolous purchases will undermine this effort.

Cricket on Saturday. Last week we got the other team all out for around 190. In the 7 overs we had to bat, we got to 1/7. Batting at 3, I will resume at 1*. Facing the first ball of the day, hopefully I don’t have to sit on the sidelines for 74.5 overs.
Sunday will probably be some Saints Row 3, from the Humble Bundle. Maybe some Halo 4 and Borderlands 2.

Going to be playing (on PC): Halo: CE, Age of Empires II/III, Minecraft, and possibly Spyro 3 with a PS1 emulator. Would love to get my hands on Far Cry 3, seeing as I now have the suitable, higher-end PC hardware for better gaming. 😉
