Bethesda Still Planning Skyrim DLC For PS3, Focusing On Dragonborn

It’s no secret that Bethesda has had trouble with the PlayStation 3, particularly with Skyrim and its DLC. At the moment no DLC for the game has been released on the PS3, whilst Xbox owners have had Hearthfire, Dawnguard and now Dragonborn. Still, Bethesda has confirmed it is continuing to work on DLC for the PlayStation 3, but will now focus on delivering its latest, Dragonborn.

“On PS3 in particular, we turned our attention to Dragonborn, as we thought it was the best content to release first, and we didn’t want folks to wait longer,” stated the Bethesda Blog. “Once it’s ready to go for everyone, we’ll continue our previous work on Hearthfire and Dawnguard for PS3. Each one takes a lot of time and attention to work well in all circumstances and all combinations of DLC. Once we have a better idea of release timing and pricing, we’ll let you know.”

It makes sense — Dragonborn has been extremely well received and, as the most recent DLC release, is the expansion most Skyrim fans are currently buzzing about. Personally, I’m considering breaking my strict ‘can’t be bothered with DLC really’ perspective for it, despite having left Skyrim with literally hundreds of quests still to do.
