Dragonborn Adds Skyrim's Toughest Enemy Yet

If you've hit Skyrim's level-cap and are kind of feeling like the game has no challenges left to offer you, the new Dragonborn DLC has something for you: The Ebony Warrior.

According to a thread at the Bethesda forums, the Ebony Warrior is an extreme B.A. who tracks you down if you've hit level 81. Posters report that he has a 15-second paralyse ability, a resistance to fire, a powerful self-healing spell, and a sword that sucks your health and restores his.

From what everyone over there is saying, he is the hardest enemy in the game by far, and no one has beaten him in their first one-on-one encounter. "Took me 4 attempts," writes user Sh00byD00. "He's like 15 legendary dragons in one."

As much as I'm looking forward to playing Dragonborn on PC, especially given that it sounds like a proper expansion pack, I like this kind of extra stuff that Bethesda packs in to their DLC even more than the main quest. Kind of like the rest of Skyrim, I guess.

Next time you're in the woods outside Falkreath and you hear footsteps, be warned: It might be the Ebony Warrior, coming to destroy you. Run, you fools!

Good! I love Skyrim, but once you reach level 50 there was barely any challenge anymore.

I dont see how this npc can be so dangerous when you can 80% damage reduction and 85% magic resist as well as 450 hp

This would be cool, but I wish he turned up at a lower level. To get to 81, you have to max out every possible skill, which is a god damn nightmare.

I beat him first shot it was like fighting a draugr deathlord but with 10x more health, it was more irritating than hard.

I kinda broke the game by creating dragonbone armour enchanted with the destruction magic affinity thing.

Wearing a full set would give you over 100% destruction affinity and meant that weapons enchanted with destruction abilities wouldn't cost a single charge.

Couple that with that Dwarven shield, the absorption one, it was just a freakin' cakewalk killing dragons.

I can't be the only one thinking of the Wood Elf beggar in Mournhold from Morrowind....can I?

my sword does about 500 damage with 80 fire and 80 ice damage i can spam any spell without running out of magic and my armor rating is around 1800 i cant see myself dying aginst him
also any one know how big of a download it is

Wow, and eighteen hundred armor rating? That's like a whole twelve hundred redundant armor considering the damage reduction caps out at five hundred and sixty seven.

I raped his face off. Slow Time shout and 3 - 10 hits.
Plus my gear is ridiculously brutal. Nothing comes close in game.

I'll admit he was tough, but I've fought much tougher in other video games (i.e. Ninja Gaiden II). I beat him on Master difficulty wearing unenchanted Tavern Clothes, enchanted legendary Wolf Boots and Ancient Nord Gauntlets that increased the damage of my one-handed attacks, and wielding two legendary Blades Swords. No spells, no other enchantments, and the only potions I used were two Potions of Ultimate Healing when my health was about to run out.
