While the first game in the series has yet to leave Japanese shores, Tales of Xillia 2 was recently released in Japan. Using the same engine as the first game, Xillia 2 mixes an anime-style RPG with the fast and furious battles the series is famous for.
Xillia 2 sports a few changes over the original in terms of gameplay, including a new limit break-style transformation and the ability to change weapons -- from swords to hammer to guns -- on-the-fly, mid-battle.
All main plot conversations and skits are voiced and many dual-path dialogue trees populate the game's conversations. The game also features numerous anime cutscenes by Ufotable.

Tales of Xillia 2 was released in Japan on November 1, 2012, for the PlayStation 3. There is currently no word on an international release, but the first game Tales of Xillia is scheduled for a Western release sometime in 2013.
