eBay Seller Moves Over 200 Copies Of Ni No Kuni Special Edition

Many of the people who pre-ordered the special edition of Ni no Kuni from publisher Namco Bandai's online store still haven't received their copies. There seem to be all sorts of issues surrounding inventory and distribution of the new PS3 role-playing game. A lot of people are pissed off.

Now there's a new wrinkle: some members of the Namco forums have discovered an eBay user selling the $US99 Wizard's Edition for a very healthy profit. In fact, eBayer PlayCanada (an online store that's part of the digital auction house) seems to have pawned off more than 200 copies of Ni no Kuni's special box. All sold for far more than the listed price.

This might lead you to wonder: if Namco is having issues getting Ni no Kuni Wizard's Edition to the people who bought it directly, how has this one eBay user sold so many of them?

Good question. Some people say PlayCanada told them that the eBayers worked directly with Namco for this sale, which seems a little funky. And of course, people are heading to the Better Business Bureau to file complaints. There's also a Facebook group for people having issues with their pre-orders.

I've reached out to Namco once again to ask for clarification/comment and will update should they get back to me.

Namco Bandai said that they bought them all during the Ninostarter thing back months ago, and that they didn't work with them at all.

    $104 here http://www.fishpond.com.au/Games/Ni-No-Kuni-Wrath-of-White-Witch-PS3-Blu-Ray/3391891965804

Good god don't buy from Fishpond! You more than likely won't get it. Every single time I've preordered something from them they turn around a month after release saying that can't get it in. That's happened 3 times, and since then I've never even been on the website until just now.

They just list anything and everything and hope that they might get it in a few months down the track.

Yeah +1 fopr not ordering from them. I know a lot of people that have either had their orders cancelled a month after release with no notification or the few people that have got their product has been 2 months after release. AVOID them like the plague.

My EB Games preorder copy has been confirmed today to arrive in my local store for launch! Glad I don't have to put up with this!!! Collectors edition too, and apparently one of the few for my store too!

What about from amazon, Did people get their copy?

I orderd through Amazon.uk and my order states that it will ship on the 31st Jan and should arrive early Feb.

So they haven't cancelled my order, fingers crossed it all goes smoothly.

yea, mine says 31st too :p. fingers crossed for both of us

I got mine from the German Amazon. Google Translate works great which let me link it to my US based account and put my order in last week. Last I checked they still have copies so if you are looking for a copy, head on over there as with postage it came to $110, so not much more than the fishpond link but a hell of a lot more reliable.

Only downside is a bit of a wait but for a game this good with such awesome things in the WE i'm willing to wait.

And German case and manual is also downside. The companion book is in English though.

So I per-ordered this game from JB Hi-Fi and they will only deliver the CE via post. I really want to play this before I leave for Gold Coast on February 5 so is it more likely I'll be getting it on the Friday this week or Monday week after?
