Fine Art: One Step Away From Mechs Charging Cannons On Horseback

It’s not every day we get to feature the work of an artist who, amidst pieces drawn up for video games and trading card companies, has also dabbled in the style of 19th century battlefield paintings. But we are today. So today is a good day.

You’re looking at the works of Karl Kopinski, a British artist who has worked with Relic on their Warhammer games, provided art for gaming companies like Wizards of the Coast (Magic) and Games Workshop (Warhammer) and, perhaps my favourite, also contributed to the fantastic military art book The Waterloo Collection.

You can see more of Karl’s work at his personal site, blog and CGHub page.

Fine Art is a celebration of the work of video game artists, showcasing the best of both their professional and personal portfolios.
