How Many Points Was Obama’s Inauguration Speech Worth In Scrabble?

In a desperate attempt at tying its products in with current events, EA Mobile grabbed some key words from US President Obama’s Inauguration speech on Monday, randomly placed them on a Scrabble board and tallied up the total.

It’s not a complete reach; it’s just a bit silly. The US President did admit to Barbara Walters last year that he and the First Lady enjoyed passing the iPad version of Scrabble back and forth. I would have pegged him for a Words with Friends man but no — he’s a purist.

For the record, the board score is 238 points. If you download the free version of Scrabble and beat his score, you’ll be rewarded by the sudden realisation that sometimes even the silliest marketing works.
