Ragnarok Online’s Litle Mobile Friend Launches Next Month

Ragnarok Online, Gravity Co’s massively multiplayer online role-playing game, has been going strong for more than a decade, driven by the free-to-play model, simple gameplay and adorable 2D anime character sprites. Next month those cute little bastards get even smaller with the release of Ragnarok Online: Valkyrie Uprising for Android and iOS devices.

Already released in Korea (and translated into English) to the delight of millions of players, Ragnarok Online: Valkyrie Uprising is a full-on free-to-play MMORPG, complete with guilds, parties, player-versus-player combat, raids, standing around in town selling things — the whole shebang. It’s a companion story to its PC big brother, revolving around something happening that threatens the fate of tiny anime people, at least that’s my understanding of it. Players choose from one of four classic Ragnarok Online character classes and then run about poking Porings with swords until they die.

Ragnarok Online: Valkyrie Uprising will be released on iOS and Android next month (with cross-platform play, no less). Players that want a head start can go to the game’s official website and pre=register for a chance at amazing in-game items that will make your tiny person better than everyone else’s.
