Talk Amongst Yourselves

This is where Kotaku readers go to talk about the stuff we're not already posting about. Think of it as the official unofficial Kotaku community forum.

And for the hawk-eyed, yes, it's changeover time again! Mark is still way too cool for us. The last email I got from him said something along the lines of "Pfft... I can MAKE people now!" So I'll be covering for the next two weeks, after which we'll return you to your regularly scheduled programming. Shout out loud if I miss anything!

So what happened today, got a dot point of today for me @DC?

I think what they're getting at is its all about @dc

Pow outlined his Melbourne trip, Aleph's nervous cause his German lady friend is still on the Eylandt, Shane's been talking Gangsta after TAY was translated through Gizoogle... lots of stuff... mostly Giz invasion, though. :D

Not sure if I need advice or not but anywho we were thinking of getting a new TV to replace the monitor of the computer in the bedroom since we want to be able to watch stuff in bed. Is there any type or particular feature we'd need on either the TV or PC side? Thinking a 32-40".

Just make sure it's full HD and that it's either got a VGA connection or your graphics card has HDMI I guess (can't recall if that graphics card has HDMI lol) Can't really think of anything else you'd require. Spose refresh rate the smaller the better same with response time, but eh.

So, I have a proposal for one of you fine people. Who wants a sneak peak at Project Nova next weekend, fully aware it won't be finished, will require you to have decent internet connection/download limit, and any advice/criticism you offer will likely be ignored? :)

And you have to keep it secret, keep it safe

I have unlimited Internet and my advice/criticism likely won't be worth taking into account.

We have a weiner winner. Shoot me an email or Twitter DM so I can send the relevent stuff and things. Maybe some whatsamajiggers as well

Once again, he's a married man!

      I dunno, I hear Xenoblade isn't related... >:(

You have my email (maybe) so I can try to help again but like Freeze, my advice/criticism likely won't be worth taking into account :P. And if you don't have my email - well I'm too lazy to post it here again, sorry friend!

I've already got ideas for a sequl, which will suit Xenoblade much better. Hopefully its a Empire Strikes Back sequel and not a Kingdom of the Crystal Skull sequel.

Thanks guys. This is going to end up being the worst kept secret in the history of secrets, I can tell :)

I can assist... I barely post about normal, non-secret things. Nor in a timely manner.

Apparently I've played Final Fantasy Theatrythm every day since I got it for xmass.

      Daily/Weekly Bonuses!

Have you cleared any Ultimate BMS' yet?

I haven't really tried. Originally I was just trying to unlock expert mode on all the songs for series play, Since then I've been working on unlocking dark notes. Soooooooooooooo many of those damned things.

I barely played Chaos Shrine because it kept repeating the same songs over and over again and it makes me feel like I'm missing out on a lot of the game's unlockables (Vivi!) :(

I mainly played it because I wanted to unlock a fourth female character as that game encourages sexism. You get 10 extra rythmia if all of your party is the same gender and you only start with 3 females. Better off making sure you have a title character though as you get 30 rythmia for that.

    Dark souls. Should I?

The real question is why haven't you?

Not sure. Didn't think it would interest me at the time. Now I'm thinking it might.

          which platform?
dont go for PC unless you've got a gamepad.

          Edit: otherwise, yes. you should.

          Last edited 17/01/13 9:26 pm

      Affirmative.
      Assuredly.
      Absolutely.
      Definitely.
      Most certainly.
      Without question.

      Yes. :)

        I'm confused… you don't think I should get it? :P

Okay I bought the prepare to die edition and enslaved. I jut have to wait for dark souls to arrive at mightyape on the 22nd.

If i had you as a friend on PSN (or even if I didnt) & you want to add me (or if you dont, I'm ok with that too) I've got a new PSN ID - number30five

I'm kind of lazy and stuff so feel free to add me. GreenCOD

Apparently not that lazy because I just added you...

What Greenius said. But my PSNiD is shyaru or something, I dunno. Check TAYnames.

Though I don't even play games on my PS3...

What up, my peeps? I've been lazy and just watching car renovation shows (American Hot Rod, Overhaulin' and stuff) as I get laziness out of my system.

    WHY YOU ASK?

Welp, soon I start my training for being a prison guard (or a 'screw' if you want to call me that) for four to six weeks. This includes training on fire fighting, EMS, crowd/riot control, guard welfare etc. However, I also told my current employer that I'd be cool with working Friday night/Saturday/Sunday. So I've got to expect to be working for a month straight without a day off. WOOO.

So I may die after... but money.

edit: I also start bobbing my motorbike soon. Then I just have to re-apply for my licence /o\

    Last edited 17/01/13 9:27 pm

Training could come in handy for rowdy Meats!

      Also,
      DEAR MELBOURNE MEAT

It was fun. Even if I didn't play that train game you guys all got in to. LEGO was fun and chilling away from home was GLORIOUS. @greenius is strangely enthusiastic to see me do a trick with my Zippo for some reason and was bitterly unimpressed that I had a Harley Davidson Zippo in the first place "IS THAT ALL? EUGH"

You mean "DEAR SECOND MELBOURNE MEAT WITHOUT STRANGE BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO MEAT HER", don't you? :P

          ALL MY DOWNVOTES.

Also, I don't want to break up you and Mr Strange with my rugged good looks (which will vanish once I shave).

            NNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know, I am so sad. Even my little brother who hates my beard just wants me to trim it and thinks I'll look "fucking gross and stupid" without it. Still, it has to get done. I'm thinking of just doing it tomorrow.

It's just for a month, riiiiiiiiiight?

Haha! Your brother seems to dent your self-esteem no matter what you choose! :D

He's just jealous as he can't grow a beard and he is under his fiance's thumb.

I wasn't unimpressed with the Zippo I was unimpressed with your lack of badass tricks

Just showed Mrs Freeze Gizoogle. First thing she did was throw her works website into it. It changed the priests name to Mista Muthafuckin Jizzy.

She is still on the ground struggling to breathe.

      Victorian Institute of Teaching:

It registas mackdaddys hittin dat shizzle up in Victorian posse, Catholic and independent schools. Like other professions occupyin positionz of trust n' responsibility, mackdaddys is required ta be registered up in order ta practise they profession. Well.. It looks like if things keep going the way they are we might not have those thorn in your side neighbours that you all know I have..

Today the cops were involved with them for the SECOND time within a fortnight. This time round the other son who seemed more rational actually assaulted our other neighbours 15 year old son, claiming it was "retaliation" for something that supposed happened more than 6 months ago to one of his newphews by said kid. He got the kid in a choke hold out on the street or somewhere. This was yesterday or today.

The this afternoon our other neighbour (the one who's son was attacked by the other neighbour) well her older son who's 23 or 24, came around with two of his work mates and they went and fair upped the idiots next door for their actions, one was ready to beat the shit out of him for what he did. But it all ended in just heated words, since one of them knew the two brothers since he grew up around the corner and told them to pull their heads in or next time he won't be so kind as to keep them from being hurt.

Still it wasn't as dramatic as the shit they caused the other week with some bloke out on the street which did involve the police & an ambulance.

Meanwhile we're just sitting here watching it all happen not saying anything. Though if something had happened between them, since dad & I were actually at our front gate fixing it.. We would've seen it and well put it this way, we wouldn't favour towards the neighbours who start trouble with everyone they can.

Also turns out said brother who attacked our neighbours son also abused one of our elderly neighbours because she told the kids to go play in their yard and not on the road in front of her house where they could get run over. She told him to piss off they should be playing where they can be seen by the parents and she doesn't want to be picking up children from her front yard who get hit by a car who should not have been there in the first place.

So yeah, nothing involving us, but god damn it really looks like they're trying to get themselves thrown out of there by the dept of housing.

I just like clicking on spoiler buttons. So upvoted!

        Hahaha, oh Faction :P

Was just about my psychotic neighbours lol.

          I read it!

As did I! I just didn't know what to say.

Yeah I had no words for it either other than totally appalling behaviour coming from someone who is in their late 30's or even early 40's.

Ok I'm getting to the point where Mario 3D land is starting to piss me off. (Special 3-5 for those who are interested) Will be very glad when Kingdom Hearts arrives

Just that level or the game?

Both. I don't mind games that get a bit tougher as you go through. But this doesn't have a difficulty curve so much as a difficulty cliff

I never found it to be too challenging :P

Whenever the game pissed me off, it was because I was trying to collect all of the Star Coins in a single run. If you just focus on beating the level and getting from point A to B it never gets too challenging. Unless it's the last level. Fuck that level.

I'm not too sure which level you're talking about but I think I only started having problems on the much later special Worlds/levels.

It's one if those levels that has the blue yellow and red blocks that blink in and out of existence in time with the music

Oh, those are fun! I remember struggling badly on ones where there's Shadow Mario (or whatever his name is) chasing you when I tried to go for all Star Coins.

Shadow Mario on the coloured block levels were horrible. You have to do little circles to avoid him while waiting for the music to tick through the boxes :P

So, peeps. I've made a big life decision. I have joined Weight Watchers because I really need to lose weight. I won't say how much I weigh, but suffice it to say, I weigh far too much for my own good. I've got my family helping me, but I thought that you might be interested to hear what's going on.

Good luck and good on you :D. There's this super motivational picture somewhere (which I can't find anymore...) and it said something like "No matter how slow you are or if you're in last place, remember that you're still doing better than those sitting at home doing nothing" err... that's a lot less motivating than the actual picture but I swear it was good! :P

Maybe posting here might help motivate you? We briefly had a sort of exercise weight loss thingy last year but it stopped after a while.

I hope it works out for you. The more people you tell, the more incentive you have to keep going, as well. :)

You have been putting commas in weird places today strange. STOP IT!

I'm sorry I didn't put my comma in your weird place, Sughly. :P

The comma was okay then, but the rest of the sentence has a few issues :|

That's all kinds of awesome, man. Nothing's more effective than drawing a line in the sand yourself. People can encourage you, but it's not until you get that fire, that resolve that stuff like this is most effective. Sounds like you've got it! Good luck, pal!

      Last edited 17/01/13 10:23 pm

Good for you man, I currently weigh less than I did in grade 6, and if I can give one piece of motivation, it's that you feel so much better both mentally and physically when you're happy with your body, so keep at it!

I do have one little piece of advice though. Those Weight Watchers frozen meals? Avoid them. They may be fairly low in fat content but the amount of sodium in those things is beyond ridiculous.

Mrs Shane vs The Walking Dead Chapter Five

Not a whole lot to say this time. The chapter is very, very linear.

She let them take Lee’s arm off. Holding out some hope that it might save him. Comparison: Me too. All about the hope.

She lost her temper with Kenny. Almost came to blows; Kenny was totally ready to throw down, but she apologised to him at the last moment. Comparison: I stayed calm and let him say his piece.

She told Omid and Christa to take Clem. Comparison: I think I told them to find her a family, but meant that could include them if they wanted. Not sure the game agreed with that :P

Because Ben was dead, Kenny survived an extra few minutes and died saving Christa and the walkie talkie. Damn waste, kind of silly. Comparison: The scene with Ben and Kenny in the alley was a much more powerful one, to me, anyway.

She gave up all her weapons. Told Clem to use the cleaver on the stranger. Comparison: I kept the cleaver. Clem used a lamp.

The stranger chewed her out for stuff that happened in chapter 2 mainly. She stole the food and made Clem wear the hoodie. He only picks three things before the conversation moved on (two of those being the aforementioned). I was sure he’d have a lot more to say about Mrs Shane’s totally non-Paragon playthrough, but apparently he’d made his point or something. Comparison: For me he focused more on stuff that I had nothing to do with or had little control over (hi @bish).

She stuck to the "I did what I had to do" argument for everything. Consistent girl. Comparison: My playthrough had Lee constantly reminding the stranger that he had nothing to do with anything. (Thank God for that dialogue option). Made the stranger seem much more of a psychopath in mine.

I told her she had a choice to kill the stranger or not. She chose not to kill him. So Clem did instead. >:D
Comparison: I also tried to show a little mercy, but that bloodthirsty little girl took her shot.

She handcuffed Lee, and then told Clem to leave Lee. Comparison: I handcuffed the zombie (eww when it breaks free) and told Clem to leave.

She got a little misty at the couple who’d killed themselves next door to the mansion. Comparison: I bawled like a baby pretty much all the way through the chapter.
I think a normal reaction would be somewhere in between us...

Thanks for reading. See you next year when Mrs Shane goes toe to toe with the Walking Dead in Season Two.

    Last edited 17/01/13 10:25 pm

Good reading, man. Thanks for that. Mrs. Shane's not a monster, you do cover all the bases together, though. Haha!

It was so cool seeing pretty much all the alternate options. We complement each other well.
And also, you take that back! She is a total monster. Total.

Nope. I've concluded she's not a monster and a lovely person after a certain choice which EVERYONE knows I support.

I stand by it, man. That decision is a pretty damn cold one.

Many problems I had with Ben, but killing him in cold blood... I'm actually surprised how many people are okay with that. For doing exactly what Lilly did one chapter earlier :|

It's different man! He WANTED to be dropped. What Lilly did was just fucking stupid and I still blame Ben for not manning up as it could've prevented the situation (well if it was written that way... YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!). Carley :'(

      Ahh! I missed Chapter 4!

I think I'll probably play Season 2 chapter-by-chapter instead of waiting.

        Just for you:

Mrs Shane vs the Walking Dead - Episode One

She guided, but I held the controller.

Suspicious girl. She hated Hershel. Didn't even want to give him Lee's name. Hershel didn't like that, not one bit :) Comparison: I accidentally lied, but thought I was being honest.

Chose to save Duck instead of Shawn, but seesawed in her head a bit. Monster. Comparison: I on the other hand didn't hesitate to save the kid over Shawn.

Sided with Kenny against Larry. Did a better job of it than I did. I tried to keep the peace, she just told Kenny to hit him! :P Comparison: I attempted to mediate and accidentally sided with Larry!

Gave the girl the gun to kill herself. Comparison: Exactly the same for me. We even both said "God Bless You"

Saved Doug instead of Carley. Regretted it. Comparison: I totally saved Carley

Little things: She hasn't told Clem anything. Remaining very close to the chest with the truth about Lee's past. Claiming it's to protect her innocence. Comparison: I was totally open with Clem all the way through - figured I'd need to earn her trust first and foremost.

Tl;DR: Mrs shane is a monster.
        It's true. She's a monster. I married a monster.

Mrs Shane vs the Walking Dead Episode 2

I’m still playing for her, but following her instructions.

She took the leg off. She tried the chain first, but otherwise didn't hesitate to take the leg. Comparison: I did exactly the same.

She fed Clementine (apple), Duck (crackers), Ben (jerky) and Lilly (crackers). Didn't try to feed anyone else. Comparison: I fed Clem (apple), Duck (crackers), tried to feed Carley and Katjaa (but both refused), so gave Mark and Larry their last meals.

She didn’t shoot the woman in the camp. Comparison: Neither did I

She didn’t let Clementine eat the Mark meat. Comparison: Same here.

She held Lilly back while Kenny smashed Larry’s face in. She didn’t regret it. O_o
        Lilly was PISSED OFF.
Comparison: I tried to save Larry.

She killed the first farmer guy. Then got all freaked out because Lee didn’t take his head off. See what I mean? Monster. Comparison: I spared him, and was relieved because Clementine.

She spared the other guy, but only because she thought being eaten by his zombie mother would be a more painful end for him. O_o
Comparison: I spared him so Clementine wouldn’t have to see.

She took the food with the others. Forced Clem to take the hoodie. (Preview for next ep showed her wearing it on the train :| ) Comparison: I sided with Clem and stood back while the others took the food.

She says that she’s not that attached to Clementine, that basically she’s just one of the group.

She gets all panicked in tense moments, and goes, “Oh, god, oh god, pick the left one.” She’s so sucked in and is using words like ‘immersive’ liberally!

Loving the game. Totally into it. Her first game, and we’re bonding over it. It’s awesome :D
Thanks again @blaghman. Value for money plus!

Mrs Shane vs The Walking Dead Chapter Three

She shot the woman in the street. She thought it was worth getting the zombies’ attention to save her a few seconds of agony. Comparison: I didn’t.

She allowed Lilly back onto the RV. Doug’s death was pretty sad, man. Comparison: So did I, after she killed Carley much more brutally.

She gave Duck some water. Teared up when Katjaa talked about how he was allergic to bee stings. Comparison: So did I. Oh boy, the manly tears.

She pulled the trigger on Duck. I actually handed the controller over and made her do it. >:D
She covered her eyes and looked away from the screen before pressing the button, and then insisted that she “didn’t do it” because she wasn’t looking. I am a true monster husband. Comparison: Yeah, of course I did it. You’re really going to make Kenny do it after losing Katjaa?

Oh man, so many misty moments in this scene. She didn’t realise that Katjaa had killed herself right away, and asked Kenny “What the hell happened?” :P

She talked Kenny into stopping the train. She didn’t even realise that fighting him was an option, and wondered why anyone would beat up a guy whose son is dying. Comparison: Same here. Seems an odd option to fight him.

The lesson she taught Clementine after the station house was “Remember to pull the trigger next time.” Comparison: I reminded her that “Everything is dangerous.”

She saved Omid first after I told her that it was a choice which one you save. Comparison: I saved Christa, because I didn’t realise it was a choice. Would have chosen Omid.

She said she didn’t like this one, and I asked if she wanted to keep going. Turns out that the emotional rape was just intense, but “of course” she wants to keep going.

Mrs Shane vs the Walking Dead - Episode Four

She guided, but I held the controller.

        Oh man, what a monster.

She shot the little zombie boy. I made her actually press the button. Comparison: I did the same. But I regretted it once I heard other people used it as legitimate Kenny-therapy... so I guilted Mrs Shane about this too!

She reasoned with Vernon. Comparison: So did I. Anyone else think it’s kind of dumb to threaten someone who has a gun? :P

She brought Clem along to get supplies. She figured something was going to happen to the house while the gang was away. Comparison: Same here. I figured Omid would probably die and turn, and didn’t want Clem alone with him.

She revealed the bite to the group. Didn’t really think about it. That gesture was enough to get everyone on side and in the party for the final chapter. Kenny was her damn best friend in this and got all emotional. Comparison: I did the same. Everyone else had been pretty honest thus far, figured I owed them the same. Kenny was on the fence about helping me – I had to convince him.

She told Vernon she would think about his offer to take Clem. :| Comparison: I told him to take a walk or I’d smash his brains in. No one takes Clem from Lee without feeling the pain.

She. Dropped. Ben. Because “I never really clicked with him as a character.” :\ MONSTER. She swears it was apathy rather than malice, but that’s just the difference between sociopathy and psychopathy in my book.
Comparison: I saved the poor stupid kid.

Ye Gods. Roll on tomorrow for the final chapter

Mrs Shane vs The Walking Dead Chapter Five

Not a whole lot to say this time. The chapter is very, very linear.

She let them take Lee’s arm off. Holding out some hope that it might save him. Comparison: Me too. All about the hope.

But then you have to wait months between episodes! It was hard enough waiting a few days :/

But then everyone else has to wait too and you can avoid spoilers

But then it'll be more expensive

OH MY GOD WHAT DO I DO NOW!?

I can tough it out. Especially when/if we have lots of TAYbies doing the same thing to keep discussion going while we wait for the next episode.

Depends how much it costs though.

I would assume $25 again. Bit high for my liking :/

              For GOTY sequel. Monster. MONSTER.
              CHEAPIUS

I think I'd prefer to wait, but I enjoy the group discussions of the episodes, though. That might be incentive to play one at a time!

Chapter-by-chapter for me too. I'll play first, then Mrs Shane, then we can compare notes. Each with no idea what's coming next. Best plan. :D

Well I'll have at least one person to spoiler it up with!

For sure, man. I'm sure we can make @dc play too. He'd be a hermit if he had willpower, but he's not, so he must have none :P

I really liked playing the eps back-to-back. Was like reading a good book! A long time to wait, though. :P

              Last edited 17/01/13 10:55 pm

Yeah, true. Mrs Shane and I both did 5 eps in 5 days. A very good way to play it. Hmm, this might require some more thought.

I hereby dub myself a willpower hypocrite. Sorry, man. :P

The anticipation could be cool too. Something to look forward to every two months? Helping! :P

New glasses tomorrow. Always a terrible and grand time. Terrible because I'm paying $300 for something I have to wear for quite some time. Grand in that 'yay, no more horribly bent frames'. Also, not hipster glasses. Ever. Because beep you, hipster glasses. I used to wear thick framed glasses in the early 90's when you got picked on for wearing them. Not like now when I see people walking around with FRAMES and no lenses in them (or WORSE, lenses with pieces of glass in them that do nothing).

    /rant

    Last edited 17/01/13 10:32 pm

      disagree about hipster glasses.
100% agree about dickheads who wear cosmetic glasses. YOU THINK A FUCKING EYESIGHT PROBLEM IS A FUCKING FASHION STATEMENT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!

@dc, Freaks and Geeks - I'm With the Band

Man, I knew about ten minutes in that this was going to be a difficult one for me to watch. And it was. I remember that they specifically mentioned this ep in the panel discussion you linked to before, so it clearly resonated with a bunch of people, including the writers.

I just couldn't watch the audition though. Watched it through my fingers... it went better than I feared it would, but still. So. Damn. Painful. :(

      Poor Nick. :'(

Oh, man. It's been too long between viewings that I can't really get into specifics, unfortunately. Such a good show!

'sOK man, not a whole lot I wanted to say about it. Just a hitting-close-to-home episode. But they all seem to do that to some extent. Awesome show. Great present. All the feels.

You're gonna be sad when you finish the season. (Satisfied too, I think. Arc wraps up nicely!)

Awesome to hear. I always worry when I pick up a cancelled show that it'll leave me hanging forever.

There's also Paul Feig's outline of the season two story lines that I'll link you again once you're done!

                Ooo, link me!

That was great! Really interesting. Dammit... that wouldve been such a great season two. I really love that approach to it actually. Dammit!

All the arcs just make complete sense for the characters. Was going to warn you that it might make you riled up that it never happened. :'( Better than nothing, though?

So hard not to click through :P
                  Damnit, @dc.
                  #ManlyWillpowerFairy

Season two story lines will mean nothing if you're only six episodes into season one. Don't do it! :P

Finish work in 45 minutes \o/ Staying in Melbourne no more than 10 minutes from work \o/

    Guys how great are Dumplings?

    Pretty great.

      Except those dessert-sweet pumpkin ones.

I have no idea what those are so I will live in ignorant bliss and assume that Dumplings continue to be one of the best types of food around.

They've added Leisure Suit Larry on GOG today ('cept for Love for Sail...), but I really hope they do an obscure collection too. Freddy Pharkas, Laura Bow, etc.

Love For Sail is best Larry. Actually... no, first is pretty great. Love For Sail is second bestest.

Looking at the GOG screenshots I can't believe I played them as a kid. Haha! I think my favourites are LSL6 or 7. I liked how LSL7 starts right where it left off in the hotel room. :S Too bad Lust in Space was never made, huh? :P

Kickstarter for LSL1 remake didn't really appeal to me.

Yeah the remake is pointless, the first remake was enough. I freakin LOVED the animation in 7, so damn good. Lust in Space wouldv gone 3D I'm sure, it would've surely been another Monkey Island 4. So I'm not too bitter about it.

Edit: Oh yeah, and 6 was also really great. A very comfy third place I'd say. Was never a huge fan of 2 and 3, I found both of those particularly... weird.

Oh, yeah. I remember the prototype footage for Space Quest 7. Might've dodged a bullet there. GK3 was an excellent take on a 3D adventure game despite the graphics, but somehow I think that had more to do with Jane Jensen's design. (Not sure Al Lowe could've pulled it off. Haha!)

More Civ with Blaghs and Techie.

Blaghs killed my spy. The jerk!

He was spying, what did you expect would happen?

I'd get more free tech from you?

Are you playing with Gods & Kings on and do you hate newbz? I've only played one game before but it was so long ago I forgot most things :P. Might be interested in playing if y'all don't mind :)

We are playing with Gods and Kings and are newbs.

More people is fine (when we get to the next game, we're at turn 212 of 500) but you kind of have to be available. I'm not keen on starting a game with a few people and then not being able to finish it out fairly quickly.

What times? I've seen you guys play around evening-night which is when I'm free and usually doing nothing but refreshing TAY :P, so just let me know on Twitter/TAY when you're thinking of doing another one and I should be there :).

How's it work? Does one person do their turn and then it's the next person's?

The players all do their turns simultaneously, then once they've all finished it does the AI and jazz.

Thought it'll probably be like this. Doesn't make sense to have it one person at a time, especially if they're really slow :P

Well I've played for 20 hours but haven't touched the expansion. Who knows what'll happen... (as long as I beat @tech_knight)

Just had a look on the green Man Gaming site.
    Civ V is $25.
    Aww, Yeeeahh. :D

Also, it isn't hot anymore! \o/

One last thing, Civ V get! \o/

There's something about the movie Click that make me a bit mopey and sad.

    @grandmaster_bfunk (?)
    @grandmaster-bfunk (?)

Just played some Anarchy Reigns. It's pretty average so far :(. Do I really have to derp around fighting random baddies and replaying missions to unlock the next ones?

i'm sorry for my terrible handle haha

and i did mention that the story mode is fairly average, the only fun bits are the missions where you actually fight someone or certain cool missions (like riding a super mutant), but the real fun is in the multiplayer, i could play vs bots all day, it's still fun

        Oh, ok!

Hopefully I don't lag online so we can play together :D (although I suspect Ni no Kuni will be in my arms before then so I'll just toss it aside... sorry Anarchy Reigns)

My How to Train Your Dragon Art Book should be arriving within two weeks! \o/

@dc Thanks for volunteering @jacksonwryan (with his permission or otherwise :) ), but I've got it in hand. I've got family coming Sun for furniture, and we've still got ten days until we have to be out so we're well ahead of things.

That said, I reckon given our past convos that Hermes does some of his uni work less than 500m from where I work.

I honestly can't tell if I want to sleep or not... :\
It's 23 degrees outside at the moment, there are bugs everywhere... :(

EDIT: Well, the bugs are taken care of, for now... :)

Some sort of weird flying ant/earwig/hellspawn thing randomly landed on my leg and I was all "OH HELL NO" so I wiped it away, paused my game and killed it.
