The MOGA Mobile Controller Gets Supersized

Now that Power A’s MOGA game controller for Android is picking up steam, it’s time to go big. Announced today in advance of CES 2013, the MOGA Pro is a full-sized gaming controller that pairs the convenience of a phone clip with a stand for your tablet.

The list of supported games is growing, and so is the controller. The MOGA pro features the same built-in phone clip as the original MOGA, all of the face buttons, console-sized dual analogue sticks, a standard directional pad and a pair of trigger buttons to complement the existing shoulder buttons. It’s essentially an Xbox 360-style controller with a little extra.

“The response to our MOGA pocket-sized controller from Android gamers has been fantastic, and we’re now excited to give mobile gamers true, console-style control with MOGA Pro,” said Eric Bensussen, President of PowerA via official announcement. “Now more than ever, mobile gamers will feel at home with a traditional controller while playing the huge variety of games available on the MOGA Mobile Gaming System.”

I don’t know, I kind of dig the small size of the original, but the included stand should make tablet gaming more enjoyable, and it’ll be perfect for folks that like hooking their Android devices up to their television.

The MOGA Pro is due out in the second quarter of the year for a price that shall be revealed at a later date.
