Monster Hunter Looks Better Than Ever On The Wii U

No one can doubt that Monster Hunter is a phenomenal success in Japan. One iteration or another has been on every major console of the last generation (sans the Nintendo DS). So it is no surprise that when the Wii U launched in Japan, it had a Monster Hunter to go along with it: Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on the Wii U is an enhanced version of the Wii game Monster Hunter Tri, now with HD graphics and cross platform support with the 3DS version of the game. Not only can saved games be passed between the Wii U and 3DS versions, but also the two games can connect for local coop play.

Like all Monster Hunter games, it’s full of co-op monster fighting in all its glory — including more than a few new monsters and several classic monsters sporting new move sets.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate was released in Japan on December 10, 2012, for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. It will be released on both systems in Australia on March 23, 2013. Stay tuned for the full preview early next week.
