Now The Entire Staff Of Bungie Doesn't Know What To Do With Their Hands

One of the funniest things to come out of this week's PlayStation 4 event was the four Bungie guys, standing stock-still with their arms at their sides, looking... uncomfortable. Also, a bit like a boy band.

The odd appearance was best encapsulated by this image, which has become something of a meme over the past week:

In an update to the Bungie blog, Bungie community manager David Dague has addressed the question, and they're all being really good sports about the whole thing.

"What in the world was up with those four Bungie guys on Sony's stage?"

I know, right? We've been chasing the answer to the question from the moment we picked ourselves up off the floor and stopped laughing. Details are still murky, but from what we can gather Marty may have instructed our four friends to "keep their hands out of their pockets." We also may or may not have a Men's Warehouse directly below our studio.

(...)

From their idle hands ushered forth an invitation to a new community of gamers. Though this foursome clearly didn't appear enthusiastic — or capable of experiencing any human emotion — we are super stoked and incredibly fortunate to be able to welcome a whole new group of gamers into the Bungie fold.

At the end of the update, in a move that I can only describe as sporting, Dague has posted the picture at the top of this article. (High-res version here.)

In it, we see just about everyone who works at Bungie wearing blazers, standing in solidarity with their four PlayStation representatives. Standing, of course, with their arms at their sides. Ha.

Thanks to Mr. Mike McWhertor for catching this.

top right, 4th row from the top, one guy is giving the horns! hahaha

Don't know what to do with their hands? Maybe they could use a keyboard and mouse to play a FPS

Ha! Because you're referencing a thing that was never said! Internet!

What's will.i.am up to in the second row?

Hopefully there'll be an episode of Bungie Community Theatre to address this.

Right now, Patricia is playing "Count the female employees" for her next article.

      OH SNAP!!!!!!!

The thing about this, is that's its probably true

If I count correctly, there are only 3 females in the front row.

Clearly this means that Bungie think that women should be only behind the scenes, preferably in a catering role.

      For shame, Bungie...for shame...

      close enough!

I also wonder why the orange guy on the very left was edited badly in after the photo was taken. I'm guessing he was paid too much to attend
