Chaos Rings was an awesome game, but I don't know if I need another 10-hour PS2 JRPG on my phone. I just don't game on it that much anymore. Definitely recommend, though, if it's anywhere near as good as #1. $17 shouldn't be a turn-off; it would sell like mad on Steam for that price.

Oh wait, the one I was thinking of as the sequel was Chaos Rings Omega. This is apparently even better. I might just get it for my Note 2...

I've played all of them and they are all great and well worth the price. They really show that Square can do so well at making IOS/portable JRPGs. It is SO FRUSTRATING that the same company can do the great Final Fantasy ports, these great original IPs... And then do ATB. *shudder* When they get it right, its so right. When they get it wrong, it is so, so wrong.

Frankly, Chaos Rings on Steam as-is for $20, or on 360 with FFXIII grade graphics for $60 would sell like hotcakes. I can see the reviews now:

Cons - Repetitive reuse of levels and music
          - Still playing as an angsty teenager
          - Not 50 hours long
Pros - Best FF story in years
          - Best FF combat in years
          - Story short enough to finish!
          - No 5 hour long tutorial.
