The Best Celebrity Cameos In Video Games

Burt Reynolds as himself in Saints Row: The Third

    Toonstruck! Right in the childhood!

Honestly I can't get rid the image in my mind that The Last of Us is just a game starring Ellen Page...

Yeah. It's not a cameo at all.

huh? since when did The last of us have EP in it?

It doesn't, but the character of Ellie used to look a lot like Ellen Page before she was redesigned somewhat. There's still a bit of a resemblance between the two though.

Yeah - rumour is they did the redesign because Sony basically said "we have an exclusive with Ellen Page actually in it."

Oh right...I did notice a resembleance when I watched the trailer when it first came out but didn't think much of it. I mostly thought it was pretty cool that the voice of Gwen from Ben 10 was doing her voice though. Yeah I've watched Ben 10...what of it...

Don't feel bad man, I watch Ben 10 as well, though I'm not really into the new Omniverse stuff.

            You crazy? Ben10 is fantastic!

That first Ben 10 video game on the PS2 is still one of the best beat-em-ups I've played even though you could only turn into 5 of the monsters.

I think my favourite is Michael Rooker in Black Ops 2 (Even though I dont play it) - only because of the walking dead. http://www.charlieintel.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/20120608-135714.jpg

Ricky Gervais was quite good in GTAIV. I like the idea of a comedy routine that only lasts two minutes.

I would play GTA, drive around like a normal human, and attend the comedy events and the Russian theatre night

Also, often just go ape shit with cars and guns

      #gta

I believe you may have forgotten Kristen Bell in the Assassin's Creed franchise

Oh man...she was so creepy. Whoever did the Lucy model needs to be put in the naughty corner.

        true that

Samuel L Jackson in San Andreas? Patrick Stewart in Oblivion?

Wil Wheaton in San Andreas! and Andy Dick - Gardening with Maurice - I wish that was a real radio show!

Jean Reno and Takeshi Kaneshiro in that Onimusha game,

If there is ademon invasion, I'd like a Jean Reno around to protect me

David Bowie in Nomad: Lost Souls.

    Leonard Nemoy in Seaman.

I like this one purely because of the character, NOT the celebrity. Not that he's even a celebrity anymore. Jesse McCartney as Roxas.

How can Beyond even be listed when it's not out yet?

She could do a terrible job in the game, not that a list of images with no explanations is ideal in the first place.

I wouldn't consider some of these as cameos. Some are main characters. The article should be titled "The best celebrity appearances in Video Games".

If we're going to include plain acting in the definition of cameos, Tim Curry as Premier Anatoly Cherdenko C&C: RA3.

Oh he was frikkin' epic in that! Tim Curry is pretty damn epic in most things actually...

    Vin Diesel, Chronicles of Riddick.

... also, don't forget Gary Coleman in Postal 2.

Mike Patton as the angry sphere in the boss fight in Portal.

Saint's Row still has the best introduction for a celebrity cameo (Burt).

Fred Durst as an unlockable character in WWF SmackDown!: Just Bring It. It was terrible given all the WCW/ECW Alliance superstars weren't in the game but it was fun to kick the shit out of Durst.

Ugh lord you just reminded me of all the good times I had with that game! Remembering all of the trash talk and how horrible the AI was, etc

Tim Curry, Johnathan Pryce, George Takei, Gemma Atkinson, Autumn Reeser and David Hasselhoff - Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3

Australia's very own Yvonne Strahovski as Miranda Lawson in ME3.

In the old Command & Conquer games, they had some known actors in those cutscenes. Yeah.

May not be accurate but seems like Julia GIllard is voicing Sam in Gears of War 3, well either her or the old woman from Home and Away
