Game Of Thrones Can Now Be Legally Streamed Within Hours Of Airing Overseas

There was that famous Oatmeal comic about how incredibly easy it was to pirate Game of Thrones compared to watching it via legal means, and this is something I’ve always related to. I’d like to watch Game of Thrones and pay for the privilege but it’s always seemed way more accessible to simply torrent the show. Until now.

Quickflix has entered into a sellthrough agreement with HBO that allows them to very quickly stream Game of Thrones locally here in Australia within hours of the show airing in the US. This means you’ll be able to stream the show on iOS, Android or on any device for that matter. Apparently the deal is not just open to Quickflix subscribers either, meaning that you can watch the show on a pay per view basis.

This is good news, but it truly is the way it should be in this day and age. Hopefully this sort of deal becomes the norm over the coming months and years.
