Dead Island: Riptide, the follow-up to Techland’s co-op zombie shooter / RPG, will be with us in a couple of days. If you can’t wait that long to get your fix of undead-choppin’ (and levellin’), this clip featuring the intro movie and some gameplay should uh, tide you over. As you’d expect, it’s a little spoilery.
The clip contains Polish subtitles, but all the voices are in English.
Speaking of voices (heh), I don’t know why, but I’ll never get used to hearing Australian accents in a triple-A game. Given the setting — and the game’s intro in particular — I can’t help but feel I’m watching an episode of Lost. I wouldn’t be surprised if a salty Grant Bowler popped his around a corner and fired off a “G’day mate”.
(Before you say it, yes, I found Mass Effect’s Miranda — voiced by Australian Yvonne Strahovski — broke my suspension of disbelief too.)
