Roger Ebert, R.I.P.


Legendary film critic Roger Ebert has passed away at the age of 70 after a long battle with cancer. Ebert wasn’t just a film critic and made headlines in the gaming press late in his life by sparring with gamers about the worth of the medium. Ultimately, he clearly gave damn about the beauty of art — film or otherwise.

Let’s remember him fondly: a giant of criticism (and as a fan of one very cool video game).

His paper, the Chicago Sun-Times, memorialises the man and his work.
