This Week In Games

I didn’t do a ‘This Week In Games’ post last week, mainly because there wasn’t anything good. This week isn’t too much better, but I figured I’d do it just to remind you that this is a regular and it exists!

Age of Empire II HD (PC)

What is it? It’s Age of Empires, the classic RTS, in HD.
Should you care? Look man, if Jurassic Park can be re-released in cinemas, 20 years after its initial release, and pull in $18 million at the box office, why can’t we have a HD version of Age of Empires II? Riddle me that!

Age of Wushu (PC)

What is it? It’s a free-to-play MMO based on the principles of a certain subset of Kung Fu… I think! It’s actually the US version of Age of Wulin.
Should you care? I don’t really know enough to make any kind of value judgement. Head here for more info. There’s also a wiki you can check out.

Defiance (360/PS3/PC)

What is it? It’s a third-person shooter set in a persistent MMO world. It’s based on the TV show of the same name.
Should you care? I had sort of written this off, but seems I might have been a bit rash. Early reviews are pretty positive.
