I am slowly learning how to play the base game, finally. 8 Hours played, according to steam (And about 5 more due to a cracked copy from my friend) and ive finally managed to ‘unify’ Ireland… or should it be called gain the title of King of Ireland?

Im still nowhere clear on other certain on other features of the game. I still have no idea how to inherit titles into my main dynasty, i have no idea why i should press claims for my courtiers, i have no idea why i keep getting massive prestige hits when i marry off my court to other people, and i have no idea how to stop my bloody character being paranoid and cynical. Just because of those two traits, the Duchy of Leinster tried for a independance war at one point.

Honestly, CK2 looks to be one of the greatest games ive played in a long time – only beaten by Europa Universallis 3 and Dwarf Fortress. That said, learning Dwarf Fortress took less time, and EU3 ive finally managed to finish a game (woo). Its amazingly detailed, great fun, and very deep.

Now if only i could get a person to play EU3 with me in multiplayer, my paradox game experience will be complete.
