While You Were Sleeping: Nintendo Announces Stuff

So wow. I never really know what to expect from Nintendo Direct. Will we get zip zero? Will Iwata drop bombs? This time round, Iwata genuinely dropped bombs. He really did!

Bomb #1: there is a new Zelda for the 3DS. It’s set in the Link to the Past universe and it looks spiffy.

Bomb #2: there is a new Yoshi’s Island game coming to 3DS. Considering the original is my favourite 2D platformer of all time, I am pretty hyped.

Bomb #3: Mario and Luigi: Dream Team. It’s coming August 11.

Bomb #4: Donkey Kong Country Returns — the 3DS version of the truly incredible Wii game — has a release date also. May 24.

Bomb #5: Perhaps the biggest bomb of all. Earthbound is finally getting an official release in Australia. I could shed a tear.
