These Animated Street Fighter Sculptures Are Abstract, Beautiful, And A Little NSFW

Street Fighter II is in our brains. It’s in our sub-conscious. So when someone makes gorgeous 3D animated sculptures of our favourite characters in motion, we all instantly get it. We know who it is, we know what they are doing!

Asides from one slightly weird — and kinda stupid — NSFW moment, the above video is a really interesting abstraction of some of Street Fighter II’s most iconic characters. It’s truly imaginative and interesting to look at. It made me aware of the thought and care that went into the different animation styles of each character in Street Fighter II. I didn’t really realise just how much of Blanka’s style, for example, was inspired by Capoeira.

Anyways, this is very cool. Watch it!
