Beat the Cheat is a magic show about games. All kinds of games: board games, old games, card games, video games. The tagline goes “[i]f you’ve ever stolen money from the bank in Monopoly, bumped the table in Jenga or peaked at your nanna’s cards while playing Go Fish, this is the show for you.” This promotional video for the show is brilliant. As a complete idiot, I’m still trying to work out how they pulled it off.
The video shows one of the magicians going through a house stacked with every kind of game you can imagine, taking part in all of them… but somehow backwards? I’m so confuddled but also somehow impressed.
The song in the video isn’t half bad either. It’s called ‘Tetris’ by Melbourne band Flap!
