You don’t have to wait for Steam’s summer (ha!) sale if you want to stock up on discounted PC games. GOG’s running its own seasonal deal bonanza and man, your bank account is going to divorce you once you’re done.
Here’s a taste of what’s on offer:
- Legend of Grimrock, Torchlight, Divinity 2, Inquisitor and Driftmoon for $US19.95
- Heroes of Might and Magic 1-5 and all chapters of Heroes Chronicles for $US17.44
- Deus Ex 1-2, Thief 1-3, Anachronox and Daikatana for $US15.43
- Alpha Centari, Master of Magic, Master of Orion 1-2, Colonization, Fragile Allegiance, Galactic Cilizations and Space Empires IV for $U12.43
- Ultima 1-9 and Ultima Underworld 1-2 for $US8.94
- Pretty much every Sierra game worth owning, 25 in total, for $US24.72
And that’s just me cherry-picking the bundles that jumped out at me. I’ve missed a bunch of very excellent others, but you can easily peruse them all by hitting up the front page of GOG. It’s also presented in a pretty, banner form, which is always nice.
I’m also going to take the opportunity to sneak in a plug for Zafehouse: Diaries. It’s currently $US2.49 on GOG, down from $US9.99, so if you haven’t bought it already, this isn’t a bad time to do so. We’re also (still) doing battle on Greenlight.

Ah theme hospital, so much sickness everywhere – so many hours.
FTL for $2.49 is a no-brainer. It’s also on sale on its own site if you want a Steam key (if like me, you like Achievements): http://www.ftlgame.com/
Best of all you also get a DRM-free download.
The Witcher 2 for $6. If you don’t own it yet, no excuse now!
Zafehouse didn’t stay at $2.50 for long
