Mortal Kombat's Scorpion Coming To Injustice As DLC

As previously rumoured, the undead ninja from the iconic Mortal Kombat fighting game franchise will be showing up as a downloadable add-on for Injustice. Scorpion shows up to bedevil the heroes and villains of the DC Comics universe for $US4.99/400 Microsoft points.

The video above shows superstar comics artist and DC Comics co-publisher Jim Lee talking with NetherRealm studio head Ed Boon about Lee's re-design of Scorpion. You also get a glimpse of Scorp fighting Blackest Night Superman. With a T-for-Teen rating from the ESRB, Injustice isn't quite as gory as the MK games. That's a shame because it'd be great to see how Aquaman reacts Scorp's fire-breathing fatality.

Would have preferred another DC hero rather then a cross over character but I guess its ok ...

I feel the same way, but I actually don't mind his inclusion after seeing this trailer as much as I thought I would. The slight modifications they've made to his moveset do actually make him fit playability-wise, and I quite dig the costume redesign.

That being said, I'd much prefer if they focused more on some non Bat-family related DLC characters as well. There are a bunch of other really interesting DC characters that deserve to be in the game, and Batman is definitely overly represented. That is, unless Alfred is released as a DLC character, in which case I will main him until the end of time.

OK Scorpion being the first MK character in the INJUSTICE game DLC packs.
Seeing Subzero in that clip and hearing rumours now that he will be the second MK character to feature in the second DLC pack , that they might of given a sneak peak of his new look as well instead of his costume from the most recent MK game. Oh well.

Nice cameo by Martian Manhunter. Looks like he will actually feature in a game for the very first time!

He has featured in several games in the past, rarely playable though, from memory he was playable in both Justice League Heroes from last gen and Lego Batman 2.

I was interested in this DLC, but considering I bought the Wii U edition, and recent events including the current all but confirmed rumour that the Deathstroke DLC for Batman: Arkham Origins will not be coming to Wii U leads me to think Scorpion won't be gracing Nintendo's latest console any time soon.

Kinda ironic that I see this was posted under the Nintendo banner all things considered.

Yep I'm with you, even from the news page without going into the article I could tell it had absolutely zero to do with nintendo...

I was wondering how they'd bring Scorpion into it if the rumours were true, and it looks like they nailed it; his opening bit, all his attacks, his ending when he wins, all seems perfect. Can't wait to download him.

I don't despise the fact that they put him in but he shouldn't have been made part of the season pass. That should have been reserved for DC characters. I bought a DC fighting game not MK. There were plenty of other choices they could have put in.
