Yu Suzuki and David Cage walk into a room. This isn't the setup of a joke but what ends up being a thoughtful session of comparing notes over the methods of storytelling in Shenmue, Indigo Prophecy and the upcoming Beyond: Two Souls. Take a look.

    Interesting Cage says when people get older they want more out of their game. I'm 31 and that's true but at the same time as wanting more I also like some game mechanics that have been done before that I enjoy.

    I really, really liked Persona 4 Golden, mainly because I haven't been so emotionally sucked in by a game in a long time, but also because I thought it had a really good balance.
    It managed to do both the old classic JRPG dungeon crawling with turn-based fights but whenever I started getting the shits with that I could step out of the dungeon and into the social sim.
    I thought Shenmue had that balance.

    My problem with Cage's games are that they are mostly the sim side of things, which for me is leaning to far to one side.

    I like Cage's anti-forum stance.
