You can take or leave most hype, because it is, just that, hype. We’ve heard it all before, or so I thought, until I talked to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot this week. He dialled his enthusiasm up. Way up.
“Rayman Legends should be one of the best games we’ve ever done,” he told me, praising the upcoming Wii U, PS3, Xbox 360 and Vita game as he had before.
Then he added: “It should be in the top five of the best games ever by the company.”
Really?
Time to jot down your list of Best Ubisoft Games Ever, folks. I’d have Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, ZombiU, Driver San Francisco, From Dust… OK, I have weird taste. What else? A Splinter Cell? A Ghost Recon? Prince of Persia: Sands of Time…
One of the best five ever? He’s not even saying that about Watch Dogs. Hype!

Beyond Good & Evil!
I’m sorry, did you just fail to mention Beyond Good & Evil at all amongst a list of eight games?
I believe it’s time to hand in your badge.
Currently playing Rayman origins – one of the bes 2D platformers I have ever played. The Legends download levels on wiiU were also amazing. Might well be in their top fove games if they indicate the overall quality.
Beyond Good and Evil
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time
Assassins Creed 2
Rayman 2: The Great Escape
Is praising your own company’s game ever going to have positive results? All it does is raise everyone’s expectations, which IMO, probably isn’t a good thing. If it turns out to be good, well, brilliant then!
What about far cry 3
I’d put that third after BG&E and Rayman origins
Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood – the MP is sublime
Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon – unexpected brilliance
Splinter Cell Conviction is my number 1 game of the generation
I suspect Watch Dogs would be on that list before the end of the year – that game looks incredible.
