Martial arts superstar Bruce Lee is the latest deceased celebrity to re-appear in CG form to sell you things.
Joseph Kahn, who directed the video, explains:
We shot it in Hong Kong, and then we worked with vfx company The Mill in London to create a completely CGI Bruce Lee over nine months. EVERY shot of his head and every detail in there is completely cgi. We got Shannon Lee, Bruce Lee’s daughter, to come aboard and we really picked her brain to make sure that everything was accurate from look to soul. We wanted to be as respectful to the man and legend as we could.
By putting him in an alcohol ad when the man apparently didn’t drink? Nothing says respectful like putting dead teetotaler in a booze commercial and reappropriating his “Walk On” creedo for commercial gain! I’d hate to see what they thought disrespectful was.

I guess they think by getting his daughter involved somehow makes this less objectionable.
Indeed, it’s well known Lee did not drink tea, coffee, alcohol or smoke cigarettes. He said they were pollutants to the human body.

lol. Hey I partook in weed reglularly, but no smoke of any kind does the lungs any good in any way. Let’s call a spade a spade. It doesn’t harm you like cigarettes do, but weed isn’t *good* for you. It still harms you but in no way as bad as alcohol or smokes. Over a long period of time it’ll still mess your lungs up if you’re a chronic smoker. But that’s more to do with the fact that smoke + lungs = bad no matter if its weed, burning paper, burning tacos, whatever the substance.

We once smoked around half a dozen cones each when I was around 18? Then my mate brought some brownies down… said ‘Here have these for your munchies!’ so we wolfed about a dozen each of those down. He didn’t tell us he loaded those to the BRIM with shredded pot lol.
Within an hour we were comatose for nearly 24 hours lmao.
