Minh Le’s Tactical Intervention had a long, arduous journey. Now, many years of development and one not-so-successful launch later, the game is set to find home on Steam.
Like Counter-Strike, Tactical Intervention promises intense team-based tactical shooting gameplay, but with a few new elements such as car chases, and realistic locations including shopping malls, industrial parks, subway stations and skyscrapers.
The game will be released on Steam this August as a free-to-play title. The screenshots below should give an idea on what it will look like.

Well, Counter Strike is possibly my most-played game in terms of raw time investment, so it’s fair to say I’ll be giving this one a crack.
You said what I was thinking
Those 2D rims and break pads look nice. The tread of the wheel also looks pretty good too!
Considering this is made by one of the people behind the series with arguably the biggest modding community out of any game franchise. . . I cannot wait for someone to inevitably make a school map and the entire game gets banned for promoting school shootings. . .
or maybe I’m just being pessimistic. . .
I miss being able to make a CS map of my old school, or parliament house.
so when are they gonna make a new up to date engine?
Er Dota2 runs on a pretty nice engine IMHO.
Anyway, engine isn’t everything. Anyone still playing Crysis 3?
Errr when did i ever mention Dota2?
Dota2 runs on Steam’s latest graphics engine.
