A few hours ago, several speedrunners gathered in a room to do what they do best, on a Twitch TV stream called Summer Games Done Quick. Their goal is to raise $50,000 in donations for Doctors Without Borders, an organisation bringing medical aid to the regions that need it most – and the next few games on the schedule should be fairly interesting to watch.
Put on by Speed Demos Archive and SpeedRuns Live, it looks like this squad of boss nerds have already raised almost $15,000 at the time of writing, and they’re still very early in their five day schedule. Resident Evil: Code Veronica is the current game, and it’ll be cool to see someone blast through the next two games as well – Amnesia: The Dark Descent, and Hotline Miami.
They’ve given themselves an hour and a half in the schedule for Dark Souls on the final day, an ambitious time even considering glitches. You can watch the stream here, and find out more about Doctors Without Borders here.

If anyone is interested, they’re going to start Amnesia incredibly soon and it was one of the highlights of the marathon last time.
Somewhat spoilery but so incredibly worth watching.
Haha, so much jam!
Strawberry and raspberry!
He’s already done. Completely shattered the game, as expected. Didn’t know about the sign that says “hello” when you first clip out of bounds. That’s kind of neat.
Hotline Miami hype! Love that game.
