Start Your Week With Terrific Cosplay

Maybe it's because we're approaching some of the biggest conventions of the year, maybe it's just a lucky week, but there has been some incredible cosplay on show over the past seven days.

The highlights for me are probably the 40K and Odin Sphere (yes!) outfits, but really, everything below is from the very top shelf, from Pokemon beauty shots to an Ellie that's a little too real for my liking.

As for Wii Fit Girl...bravo.

Fancy Pants is Kotaku's weekly round-up of the best in video game cosplay (costume play), where fans dress up as their favourite characters.

I like the Wii Fit girl and Lee Sin the most.

Wii Fit girl is pretty great, but it's been at least partially photoshopped (them saturation levels).
The question is HOW photoshopped? And does it matter? These are the issues we face.

Apparently it's body paint with Photoshop for a few touch ups. Makes sense, it's a cool idea but if you cheat and use Photoshop for the saturation it's sort of pointless.

I was more concerned about her skin not being white. Don't ever quote that out of context.

This is what I looked like in person -
Obviously the background is shooped and colours brought up and etc, but the costume is pretty much how I looked.
And does it matter? Eh, not really :)

Well obviously this pic is photoshopped, but she was definitely in bodypaint - she was at Supanova Sydney a couple of weekends ago.

Which one is the 40K one? Does he mean the Atlantica Online one?

It looks like he got confused between the Atlantica Online costume and the 40k Inquisitrix that appears next to it on the Deviant Art page and is pretty bloody impressive in its own right

This is definitely my favourite Last of Us cosplay around.

Never would have imagined someone to cosplay the Wii Fit Trainer. Thought like literally never came to mind when that character was announced for the new Smash Bros.

I wish they all had names on them so I knew who everyone was >_>

i am a fan of the photographer that took that shot. always does everything he can with lighting, fog and other affects before taking the shot to minimise photoshop later.
